Who is Mervyn Stone?
Mervyn Stone has been a radio and television writer for thirty years. Originally a supply teacher, postal worker and garden shed salesman, he first made his name as a writer contributing to Radio 4's 'Afternoon Play'. He went to write the moderately successful 'Inspector Wistful Arrives' radio crime series.
He has written for many television series, such as 'Angels', 'Sherlock Holmes', 'The Bill', 'Shoestring','Emmerdale Farm' and 'Albion Market', though he is best known amongst sci-fi fans for co-devising and script editing the BBC series 'Vixens from the Void', which ran in the 80s and 90s.
